Nautilus is a science magazine that aims to bring to light big human questions, from science to philosophy and from nature to biology, with a particular attention for the arts and culture.
At Nautilus I learned how to wear different hats from art directing to designing for print and digital. My role primarily involved helping the brand growing and maintaining its identity and visual language. I also used my illustration skills to create art for several articles and my UX/UI knowledge to improve the user experience of Nautilus on both desktop and mobile.
Working for Nautilus I had the great opportunity to work with some of the most renown designers and artists in the industry as well as young and less expert illustrators. The publication won two National Magazine Awards awards and a special mention from Society for News Design for its desktop website and mobile version. One of the illustrations I art directed (with illustrator Gizem Vural) won a Gold Medal from the Society Of Illustrators in 2016.
